The income tax status and income requirements of certain Clients result in the opportunity and/or need to prudently maximize income. In response, Ryder, Stilwell Investment Advisors has used a portfolio of high dividend stocks and bonds. This portfolio is made up of preferred stocks, corporate bonds, REIT’s and common stocks selected from a diversified group of companies. While most of these companies carry an investment grade from a major credit rating agency, occasionally securities are included in the portfolio solely as a result of in depth investigation and analysis that is completed on each company.

Individual stock buy and sell decisions are made by the Ryder, Stilwell Investment Advisors Investment Committee. These decisions are executed through individual transactions in our Clients’ managed accounts allocated to this strategy.
