Ryder, Stilwell Incorporated offers a broad range of financial services and the seasoned judgment and expertise to develop a fully integrated “Grand Plan” that is specifically designed to provide solutions to your personal financial challenges. We work with you and your other professionals to assure that your “Grand Plan” meets all of your financial needs. Once you have approved the plan, then specific investments are selected to accomplish your plan’s objectives. We report to you on a regular basis and make adjustments to the plan as your circumstances and the environment change. Can Ryder, Stilwell buy or sell whatever securities it wants for my account?
Our Clients typically grant full discretion over the management of their accounts under our management. As a result, we do execute transactions on our Clients’ behalf within the parameters established by the “Grand Plan” individually developed for and approved by that Client.

What do I do with the investments I already own?
We typically reallocate individual investments to coincide with the model portfolios and investment strategies we actively manage. However, every case will be unique and carry its own unique objectives and challenges that will impact this answer. For example, some investments may have significant capital gain tax liabilities or Clients may have investments they would like to hold for personal reasons. In these cases, the investments could be kept if they prudently fit within the Client’s plan.

How do I receive the income I need from my investments?
Distributions can be received by the Client in a number of ways subject to individual needs and requirements. Typically, monthly distributions are deposited into the Clients’ personal bank account on a monthly basis.

What reports will I receive from Ryder, Stilwell and when will I receive them?
Your monthly status and activity report from Ryder, Stilwell will include the following six statements:
- Cash Activity Statement detailing the activity in your Ryder, Stilwell cash account.
- Profit & Loss Statement summarizing the income and expenses of your account on both a monthly and year to date basis.
- Valuation Summary summarizing your investment portfolio under management.
- Detailed Valuation detailing the individual holdings within your portfolio under management.
- Detailed Income Statement detailing the investment income received by your investments during the month.
- Purchase & Sales Statement detailing the investment transactions in your accounts during the month.

What are the fees for Ryder, Stilwell’s management of my financial affairs?
The annual fee for management of your liquid assets (cash and marketable securities) is 1.1% of the value of the assets being managed up to $3,000,000 plus 0.8% of the value in excess of $3,000,000 up to $5,000,000 plus 0.5% of the value in excess of $5,000,000 with a minimum liquid asset management fee of $6,000 per year.
Fees for our Family Office services are based on the type of transactions and/or services being rendered.
There is a one-time set up fee to review a Client’s financial records, to prepare an initial customized “Grand Plan”, and to establish the necessary accounts within our system. This fee is usually $1,500 but may vary depending on the condition of the records and the complexity of the Client’s financial situation.

Are there other costs associated with my relationship?
From time to time, some of our Clients have requested assistance from Ryder, Stilwell Incorporated on a particular problem or issue. A separate fee will be charged at our then billing rate for this work. However, no additional fees will be charged without first discussing the fee with the Client and getting the Client’s approval, usually in writing.

What assurances or evidence do I have of Ryder, Stilwell’s integrity and reliability if they are to be managing my assets?
Since 1948, Ryder, Stilwell Incorporated has been entrusted by our clients to manage their private financial and investment affairs. Most of our Clients have been with us for many years and come to us through recommendations from friends or other trusted professionals such as their accountant or attorney. In many of our client relationships, we have served or are serving two generations of the family. All of our Client relationships are absolutely confidential. Our wholly owned subsidiary, Ryder, Stilwell Investment Advisors, Inc., is registered with the Federal Securities and Exchange Commission as an investment advisory firm; and as such, is subject to an annual surprise cash and securities audit of our Client accounts by a licensed independent certified public accounting firm.

What do I need to retain Ryder, Stilwell to manage my financial and investment affairs?
To retain Ryder, Stilwell Incorporated to manage your financial and investment affairs, you should have at least one million dollars in investable assets; that is, assets exclusive of your home(s) and other personal property.
