A disciplined and conservative approach to financial management has been a hallmark of Ryder, Stilwell Investment Advisors since its predecessor Firm was founded in 1948 by Charles D. Ryder, Jr. The Firm's investment capabilities and scope were broadened with the arrival in 1961 of independent businessman and investment advisor, Robert L. Stilwell.

Among his many contributions to the Firm, Mr. Stilwell, who currently serves as Chairman of the Board, developed a cash management system that gave Ryder, Stilwell Investment Advisors' Clients the benefits of a money market account within their private banking services well before they were offered to the general public by larger financial institutions.

The Firm expanded in 1972 with the addition of R. J. "Jim" Considine Jr.. Mr. Considine now serves as President, CEO and CCO of the companies as well as a member of the Boards of Directors. He also heads up the Firm’s real estate partnership activities, having over thirty years of experience in this arena.

Both Messrs. Stilwell and Considine bring a unique perspective to the management of client assets, drawing heavily on their graduate training in economics and finance and over 60 years combined experience in investment and asset management.
